All Over the Page welcomes Kelly Coffey

Join Kelly Coffey on Monday, November 13 at 6:30 for a discussion of Nutshell by Ian McEwan in the Lawson McGhee Library meeting room.

Trudy and her lover Claude are plotting a murder. Their prey? Trudy's ex-husband John, who also happens to be the unborn child's father (not to mention Claude's brother). Unfortunately for Trudy and Claude, there is a witness to their nefarious plan: the nine-month-old inhabitant of Trudy's womb. Ian McEwan's suspenseful and humorous Nutshell may require a degree of suspended disbelief. Not only does the incredibly precocious fetus hear all that happens outside the womb, he also comprehends it, and is determined to thwart Trudy and Claude's plans. But how can he do so when he is still stuck in gestation?
