Selection for September We Read Y.A.

Join us on Thursday, September 28 at 6:00 at Lawson McGhee Library to discuss When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.

This book feels like a Shakespearean comedy. It's light-hearted, has a happy ending, and is ultimately about the coupling of two single people. Like The Taming of the Shrew, the female lead in this story is strong-willed and resists attempts by well-meaning match-making family members.

Dimple Shah just recently graduated high school, cannot wait to start her life as an independent young woman and is heading to a summer program for web developers. Unbeknownst to her, a plan is already in motion to get her to fall in love with and eventually marry Rishi Patel (who will also be at the same camp). Everyone knows but Dimple, even Rishi is in-board with this plan. Will Rishi be able to become the object of her affection or will summer end without a match made?
