2015 Knoxville Remembered Calendar

This year, the calendar is better than ever, with a colorful redesign and extended descriptions of each photo. Photos include views of Chilhowee Park, the construction of the Kress Building, the Airplane Filling Station and many faces of Knoxville past.

The production and distribution of Knoxville Remembered calendars is made possible through partnerships with the East Tennessee Historical Society and the Friends of the Knox County Public Library.

Join us on September 5, 5:30 - 9:00 at the East Tennessee History Center for movies, live music, and art of Knoxville in the 1960s during the push for civil rights.
One cool friend

One cool friend by Toni Buzzeo is the delightful story of a boy who befriends a penguin, and it's coming to life through song and dance at the Children's Festival of Reading. It will then tour 10 branches of the Knox County Public Library system. Dollywood has taken the book, which is part of the Imagination Library collection, and set it to song and dance.
