Join us for a lively book conversation every month.

What's great about this book club? The conversations will be facilitated by an expert who can help us go deeper into text. But academic, it's not! We promise a nice comfortable setting, refreshments, and a neighborly chat about a good book.

All Over the Page happens once a month on a Monday evening at 6:30 in the Lawson McGhee Library meeting room. For more information, call Anna Leah Keene at 865-215-8721.

Sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Our next program

All Over the Page welcomes Jamie Osborn

Join Jamie Osborn on Monday, January 8 at 6:30 in the Lawson McGhee Library meeting room for a discussion of Before the Fall by Noah Hawley.

Sixteen minutes into a short private flight from Martha's Vineyard to New York, a plane crashes, killing nine of the eleven people on board. The two survivors are Scott Burroughs, an artist whose presence on the plane is happenstance, and JJ Bateman, the four-year-old heir to a media empire. Scott, a recovering alcoholic who recently exchanged drinking for swimming, rescues JJ by getting them both to shore. As the investigation into the crash builds, Scott's life is turned upside down by media scrutiny and survivor's guilt. The suspense grows as the story alternates between the aftermath of the crash and the backstories of the people on board the plane—with no shortage of plot twists.

Jamie Osborn received her bachelor’s degree in history from East Tennessee State University and her Master of Science in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee. She has worked for the Knox County Public Library System for the last fifteen years. She is currently the Branch Manager at the Halls Branch Library and truly enjoys what she does. Jamie loves being around books, talking about books, listening to books and working with books. Her graduate school thesis on Appalachian Children’s Literature served as the basis for the Knox County Public Library/East Tennessee Historical Society Museum exhibit Reading Appalachia. She and her family live in East Knoxville.
