New to the McClung Digital Collection is Families of Norris Reservoir area, a fascinating book written by Marshall A. Wilson documenting the way of life of those affected by the creation of Norris Lake. Mr. Wilson worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority from August 1933 for approximately 4 years and took many photographs of people, schools, churches, gravyards, and houses between 1934 and 1936. Additional photos he included in the book were taken by Mr. R. E. Grizzell, superintendent of Union County Schools. Mr. Wilson also recorded genealogical information on many families from the area, including Agee, Beeler, Butcher, Hatmaker, Hill, Longmire, Loy, Miller, Rice, Sharp, Stooksbury, Wallace, and Wilson.
