As a big fan of murder mysteries, I have to say, this was a YA thriller like no other. Erin is not only scarred from past events, she is also determined to find the truth. Not only do you see development in the characters but you also see the dangers of a murder case. The plot and story line differ from most YA books in a good way.
Erin Blake is the survivor of her mothers gruesome murder and, after 14 years living a normal life with her mother's best friend, murder strikes again when she discovers the body of her biology teacher. As you read this book you follow along with Erin as she plays Nancy drew to solve the case. Along with some help she discovers secrets that were supposed to stay buried.
This is honestly a great book for anyone who likes mystery and forensics. I highly recommend it for those who just like reading in general as well.
