The Forest Queen by Betsy Cornwell

This book has the theme of hope at its core. It seemed to be inspired by Robin Hood but was able to go off on its own path. The main character, Silvie, has a good heart. She had flaws but was complex and relatable. The characters felt human. The plot was a little slow for my taste but it still was enjoyable and interesting. Once I really got into the book it was hard to put down. Overall this book is well-written, has relatable characters, and shared the theme of hope that the story it is based on has.
