This novel focuses on the very touchy subject of suicide. Sixteen-year-old Kai comes home to a letter from a sister explaining that she killed herself. This sends Kai spiraling towards the same fate as her sister until her parents decide to send her to a summer grief camp to help her resolve her issues. At first, Kai is reluctant to participate, but she soon learns it will be very beneficial in more ways than one.
Overall, this novel captures the raw emotions of someone going through a horrible experience, while keeping the reader entertained with an uplifting story.
