Join Clarence Vaughn III on Monday, September 10 in the Lawson McGhee Library meeting room for a discussion of Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke.
Winner of the 2018 Edgar Award for Best Novel, Bluebird, Bluebird follows Darren Matthews, a black Texas Ranger, as he unravels the mystery of two murders in a small town in East Texas. The body of a black attorney from Chicago is discovered days before the body of a local white woman. In this rural town of less than 200 people, are these murders related? The deeper Matthews goes into this investigation, the more he realizes that his search for the truth is riddled with complications.
