Join Nathan Hilbert, owner of Unrefined Chocolate, in a discussion of Meaningful Work: A Quest to do Great Business, Find Your Calling, and Feed Your Soul by Shawn Askinosie on Thursday, October 18, 5:30–7:00 at Lawson McGhee Library. Hilbert will share important takeaways from Meaningful Work, an inspiring guide to finding a vocation that has meaning and reflects your values.
Written for entrepreneurs both “at heart or in practice,” Askinosie uses this book to help readers use their own passions to improve business relationships.
Hilbert has varied experience in the food business, including raising pastured turkeys and developing a commercial kitchen space for farmers. A fortuitous visit and a 10-pound bag of cacao he received led him to a clear winner for his next venture: joining the bean-to-bar chocolate movement. Nathan has built Unrefined Chocolate with three pillars: ethically source the best cacao from around the world, educate consumers on considering where their food really comes from, and bringing great-tasting chocolate bars at a reasonable price. Unrefined Chocolate can be found at the Market Square Farmers' Market, the Chattanooga Market, and as a growing wholesale business.
Thanks to a generous donation from Friends of the Knox County Public Library, a limited number of books are available at the Lawson McGhee Library and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
