Resources for groups participating in Read City USA's Oceans of Possibilities reading challenge.

Thank you for choosing to show our community that you value literacy. With help from groups like yours, we will meet Mayor Jacobs' challenge to read one million hours in 2022.

Plus, every 5 hours your group reads, participants earn stickers. When your group completes a challenge, you'll earn sea-worthy prizes.

Get started - Register your group

It's easy to record your group's reading time with Beanstack tracking software. To get started, register your group.

  1. Go to
  2. Choose Register a Class or Group
  3. Decide if you’re all going to be reading together (All at one time) or independently (Individually)
  4. Complete the Registration form with your group information

Logging your reading time

When you’re ready to record your time, you can log into Beanstack in your browser, or in the app on your mobile phone. (Download for free from the App Store or Google Play.)

  1. Choose Log Reading at the top left corner.
  2. If you’ve chosen to log group members individually, make sure you log for each person.
