Great graphic novels for kids

Since 2011, the Association for Library Service to Children has maintained age-appropriate lists of core titles of graphic novels for children.  The lists were updated in November of 2013 to include some newer titles.  For the purposes of these lists, graphic novel is defined as a full-length story told in graphic format, and does not include collections of comic strips, wordless picture books, or books that combine traditional text with comics or graphics.  The list includes classics as well as new titles that have been widely recommended and well-reviewed, and books that have popular appeal as well as critical acclaim.
