Overall Review: Good for pre-teens and people who enjoy fantasy books enough to ignore a predictable, unnecessarily long plot.
There were many parts to the book that weren’t needed, as they had no/very little effect on the plot and were not brought up again later. It would have been better for the author to spend more time on explaining the history of the wars in the novel rather than on pointless exchanges between characters. The book was also very predictable, as many of the characters were basic photocopies of other characters in other books. However, the book wasn’t completely unreadable, and would probably be good for people who enjoy fantasy and supernatural shows.
