Golden Arm is a classic underdog story. Lazarus Weathers is a high school pitching prodigy looking for his chance to break into the Major Leagues, and the story is relatively cliche and full of tropes. Characters are interesting, but not fully explored in favor of the plot. The plot is dry, with some unexpectedness at the end, but otherwise predictable. Easy read, I completed it in an hour. Overall not great, but not terrible either.
