This was a historical fiction book. In some historical fiction books the author veers off of the path of history. Suspect Red did not. Each chapter was one month which was very intriguing. In the beginning of each chapter was newspaper articles and interesting pictures. This provided the reader an opportunity to research more about the Cold War (which was the time period.) The author closely held my attention up to the very end and there was even a plot twist. Basically, this was one of the best books I've ever read.
