To My Recollection // by Ophelia Gray B. (July 2018)

Her eyes fall like
Shattered glass,
Littering the ground
With tears.
When she falls apart
She does not shatter,
Does not crumble,
Or a wad like parchment.
She simply
Dissolves into
Wind;
Lingering in the spaces between
Your breaths.
She sends the hairs across your neck standing.
Remember, it says.
Remember me and my
Shattered teardrops
And my gaze falling
Like stardust.
